I was shopping for yarn with my mother this weekend when I ran across a pattern for a very cozy looking wrap. I tried looking to see if someone had already posted it online for free but didn’t find anything, so I thought I would.
Supplies & Tools: 3 Skeins Red Heart Super Saver, Yarn Needle, Crochet Hook Size 10.5 (K)
Gauge: 12 sts = 4”; 8 rows = 4”
Directions: Ch 43
Row 1: (RS) Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each chain across, turn – 42 Sts
Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in each hdc across, turn
Row 3: Ch 1, hdc in first 14 sts, *skip next hdc, work Fpdc around next hdc one row below, working in front of fpdc just made, work Fpdc around one hdc one row below skipped hdc, hdc in next 2 hdc* repeat from * 2 more times, skip next hdc, work Fpdc around next hdc one row below, working in front of fpdc just made, work Fpdc around one hdc one row below skipped hdc, hdc in last 14 hdc, turn – 42 sts
Repeat Rows 2-3 until 20 rows have been completed
Split for Sections
1st Side Section:
Row 21: Ch 1, keeping in pattern as established, work 18 sts, turn, and leave remaining stitches unworked
Row 22: Ch 1, hdc in all Sts across – 18 Sts
Rows 23-35 work in the pattern established on 18 sts, fasten off
Center Section:
Row 21: RS facing & holding previous section behind work, join yarn in 17th st on Row 21 of Wrap, hdc in next 2 sts, work in pattern as established for 8 more sts – 10 sts
Rows 22-35: work in the pattern established on 10 sts, fasten off
3rd Side Section:
Row 21: RS facing and holding previous section in front of work, join yarn in 25th st on Row 21 of Wrap, hdc in next 2 sts, work in pattern as established to end of row – 18 sts
Row 22-35: work in the pattern established on 18 sts, fasten off
Joining Sections
Row 36: (WS) Ch 1, hdc in first 16 hdc, working through corresponding sts of sections, hold Center Section behind Side Section and hdc through both layers to join 2 overlapped sts, hdc across Center Section sts, hdc overlapped sts of Center Section and remaining Side Section -42 hdc sts
Row 37: repeat row 3 (Ch 1, hdc in first 14 sts, *skip next hdc, work Fpdc around next hdc one row below, working in front of fpdc just made, work Fpdc around one hdc one row below skipped hdc, hdc in next 2 hdc* repeat from * 2 more times, skip next hdc, work Fpdc around next hdc one row below, working in front of fpdc just made, work Fpdc around one hdc one row below skipped hdc, hdc in last 14 hdc, turn – 42 sts)
Rows 38-149: Repeat rows 2-2 end with row 3
Edging: RS facing, work reverse sc evenly spaced around all edges, fasten off, and weave in ends
